Background
Optometrists Association of Australia is a national body for Optometrists and the Children's Vision Campaign has been one of its central awareness campaigns over the years.  With a new focus on broadening the appeal of the campaign to parents, teachers and children, the Association asked Datalink to build an information website for the Good Vision Initiative.

Solution

Datalink consulted with the Association to determine the best way to structure the information and creative elements to appeal to the target audiences.

Using the Freestyler content management which is in use for the Association's corporate website, Datalink were able to create a subsite which looks different, but is controllable via the same system.

The site features various guides, checklists and resources categorised by the different site user group, with a portal entry page for each.  A "Did You Know" feature provides informative and refreshed content. 

For Parents and Teachers, the "Find an Optometrist" feature is linked in with the Association's member database.

For kids, the site features an interactive display of common vision problems and integrates the Association's interactive multimedia Ultra Violet Danger Game.

The site also features a secure member area for Optometrists.
