Background

The Safety Institute of Australia is a membership organisation involved in the Occupational Health and Safety industry.

With over 3,000 members, the Institute was looking to take their existing in-house designed website to the next level and engaged Datalink to re-design and re-develop it with the aim of streamlining their member communication.

Solution

Datalink consulted the Safety Institute stakeholders to come up with a creative design for the site which would feature the latest news and events on the homepage and be as easy as possible for members to navigate.

Freestyler content management provides a framework for a distributed model of website authoring, by enabling non-technical staff to contribute updates.

The site features a member login which enables members to check their Continuing Professional Development history, update their contact details, pay their membership accounts online and communicate via various online discussion facilities.

Datalink Concord provides the Safety Institute with a web based national database, updated directly by the website, which branch offices can access and administer.
