The NTEU is the major union for tertiary education workers, and is affiliated with other unions in the education industry. A heavily member focussed organization, the NTEU is heavily reliant upon dissemination of current member focussed information, and delivery of member services.
The information architecture and design was in need of a refresh to cope with the demand of over 1,200 pages of content.
Branch executives sought an online reporting solution that would give them better analysis tools.
Solution
Datalink provided enhanced distributed authoring features for the NTEU via Freestyler, working with the public relations department to implement a new design, which included features such as a dynamic news ticker, mouseover main menu and cycling images.
Datalink extended the membership capabilities of the system to branch and divisional officers, providing a range of reports that could be accessed online based on jurisdictional rules.
Additionally, the power to create online forms enabled the union to conduct surveys amongst their members.
