Customers are all ears for website audio Podcasting
Our customers are harnessing the ability to reach a wider audience with podcasting capabilities and their customers are gaining the benefits.
Podcasting enables a website to send sound bites to Apple iPods (and similar devices) or to enable website users to download soundbites in MP3 format, and even in some cases video podcasts or webcasts.
The Australian Psychoanalytical Society uses Podcasting on their website to enable members to access lectures and seminars online. The City of Stonnington broadcasts their council minutes on their website in this way. Athletics Australia uses podcasting for audio from sporting events. Many other recent projects also feature podcasting.
In the past, users would need to have a feedreader or newsreader installed to view these feeds, but the technology is now receiving wide adoption from MP3 players and Internet browsers, making it more accessible than ever. It is becoming increasingly popular and very useful in education and government, as well as for personal blogcasts.
Datalink's Freestyler Content Management System makes it easy to broadcast media bites from your website. And we can show you how.
