Redesigned TVSA Pilot Training website Ready for Takeoff
26 May 2009
TVSA Pilot Training have launched a new look website designed by Datalink and powered by Datalink's Freestyler CMS.
The website was well overdue for an overhaul, having had its last lick of pain in 2005. Four years later, it has had more than a splash of whitespace and a crisp, clean Web2.0 look applied.
For the TVSA website, it was back to the basics. A cluttered menu from years of ad-hoc content being added has been replaced by a simple menu with a big bold "hero" image.
The new site was designed to focus on career opportunities and the pathway for commercial pilots and international students and focus on the benefits of learning to fly with TVSA. There is a "Featured Graduate" section on the homepage as well as a "Popular Courses" section all of which can be changed as often as TVSA like.
Several new features have been introduced to optimise the site for search engines like Google, such as the introduction of a Popular Pages section in the footer which is present on all pages as well as an XML Sitemap and Google Analytics.

CMS implementation and programming by Jenny Joseph with project oversight from Sean Fishlock.
