Background
Pharmaceutical Defence Limited provide indemnity services for pharmacists in Australia.
With around 13,500 members, PDL is the oldest and largest national pharmaceutical organisation in Australia.
PDL first came to Datalink in 2006 without a web presence looking for guidance to quickly put together a website that they could manage with minimal assistance.
PDL process insurance claims on behalf of their members and wanted to give members the convenience of notifying PDL via the website of any incidents.
Datalink built a first stage website for PDL and enhanced it further in 2007 with an updated design and expanded e-services.
Solution
The website is aimed at providing members with information in the form of resources, articles, warnings and reports as well as practical functions such as notification of incidents via online forms. Datalink implemented a design for the PDL site - including everything from domain name to development and hosting.
A secure area allows notifications to be processed by members.
An online rates calculator provides convenience to members and helps reduce PDL's administration burden by providing real-time online quotes.
Freestyler content management enables timely communication of information to members and reduces PDL's ongiong cost of website updates and enables the timely delivery of information to members.
