Datalink celebrates 10 years in 2008!

In 2008, Datalink celebrates 10 years in business having started out back in 1998.  It has gone so quickly that we almost forgot about this landmark.  So I thought I'd briefly reflect on our first decade.

It is fantastic to think that some of our customers have been with us this whole time.  They have seen us grow as a company from a small three person Internet Service Provider company to an leading boutique e-business provider and web developer.  We weathered the dot com boom and its bust, having taken on board many of the lessons of the past.

Though we no longer sell modems or internet connectivity, we have been doing content management since our earliest days, when we believed that the power to manage content was the future of the web.  The old Website Wizard is now Freestyler CMS, having transformed itself into an enterprise content management system.  The original architects of this system continue to design and implement exciting new features.  These days we have added a range of web 2.0 style products and use them to build next generation web apps.

Having started building some small business sites with a handful of pages we have built up a wealth of experience such that we now plan, design and build government and enterprise websites.

Most of our core staff have now been with us for over 5 years, something not many other Internet companies can boast.

We've been in a strong position for the past decade and we expect this to continue to grow for the next.
