Alpine Shire to get a Youth Portal

Alpine Shire has become the latest local council to enlist Datalink's Youth Portal solution.

The shire, which is located in the Bright area of Northeastern Victoria was first introduced to Datalink through the Alpine Shire MECC Portal project which was designed to help manage bushfire emergencies in the area.  A focus on bushfire awareness, and the success of Youth Portal projects such as the Shire of Yarra Ranges and community projects in general, led to exploring ways that Alpine Shire could use a Youth Portal.  The project is aimed to reach the regions young people, many who experience issues such as isolation and unemployment. 

The shire's youth department will be working with Datalink over the coming months to launch the new website.
